Applications
Field of cast iron casting. Magnesium content of 4%, 5%, 5.5% belong to low magnesium spheroidizing agent, RE between 1%-2%, mostly used for medium frequency furnace melting, low sulfur liquid iron spheroidizing treatment. It has the advantages of mild spheroidizing reaction and easy absorption of spheroidizing elements. Magnesium content of 6%, 7% is magnesium series spheroidizing agent, used for cupola, electric furnace double smelting, or medium frequency furnace smelting pearlescent type cast nodular cast iron castings. According to the wall thickness of the casting and the sulfur content of the original molten iron, the appropriate amount of spheroidizing agent is determined. The application range is wide and the spheroidizing process is broad. High magnesium series spheroidizing agent, suitable for cupola smelting, sulfur content 0.06%-0.09% of liquid iron, adding amount between 1.6%-2.0%. Low aluminum spheroidizing agent is used in castings prone to subcutaneous porosity defects and castings requiring aluminum content in liquid iron. The spheroidizing agent produced by yttrium heavy rare earth is suitable for large section castings, delaying spheroidizing decline and preventing block graphite.
